She Believes Launch!

Updated: Dec 2, 2020

Welcome to my blog She Believes! What an amazing vision God has placed on my heart for this ministry and nothing has brought me more fulfillment than living life on mission. The year 2020 has marked an unprecedent time in our world, culture, community and personal lives. For me, it has been a spiritual awakening. Jesus 2020 has been my anthem this year and I believe with all my heart the kingdom of God is ALIVE now more than ever. His word, his promises, are what I continue to remain rooted in.

When we find community we find roots, we find invested life. As humans we crave connection. We all know we were created for community with God and one another. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in a habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24-25). While many of us want community, finding it is hard. And finding a nurturing faith based community is even harder. Some of you may even scroll Instagram or Facebook asking where is #mytribe at, God?

I think God’s idea of community is something much deeper and wider and altogether more than we could ever create ourselves. God’s design for true community is a faithful few walking in the same direction, sharing and doing life together and growing deeper in a relationship with Jesus. By seeking him and establishing a firm foundation rooted in His word, the Kingdom of God, you will begin to crave Him and start living each day out for Him and His divine purpose for you. Jesus 2020 brought me #mytribe and it all started when I decided to seek Him, truly seek Him. God placed these special women in my life at the exact time I needed them. When you build relationships with other women of faith you sharpen one another in Christ and for His glory. That is where the true Holy Spirit magic begins.

So how do we as biblical women find true community? It starts with taking a risk, extending the invitation and welcoming interruptions. It begins with believing Gods promises and purpose for your life. The name She Believes was inspired by Luke 1:45 “Blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.” What a compelling thought: God speaks astounding promises to His women, and if we dare to believe Him, we’ll be blessed.

Consider Mary, an average young woman going about her quaint life in Nazareth, fantasizing about her engagement to Joseph. Suddenly, the angel Gabriel appears from Heaven onto her humble patch of earth and says something unfathomable. He makes a promise that could never be fulfilled through mere human effort. He declares the upcoming birth of a Savior - the long-awaited Messiah - through her, a virgin. He makes it clear she is God’s chosen vessel and through her, the stunning plan of redemption will occur. And then Mary does something equally outrageous.

She believes. In spite of her initial misgivings and not quite understanding how it will all work, she chooses to believe what God tells her. And history declares her blessed among women.

God speaks. He gives the promise. And we believe. Believing is daring. But if we dare to believe, we’ll be blessed among women. We must believe we are who God says we are. So let’s unite and lift each other up to let the Holy Spirit use us in ways that are unimaginable.

Join us. We are a sisterhood of women sharing experiences, praying for one another to foster community and deepen faith.
